Doctor, Doctor

With the world still reeling from the chippy grandeur of Brad Smith's epic Moon8 – which, in case you missed it, recreates the entirety of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon via Famitracker – Doctor Octoroc has unleashed his own inspired 8-bit cover project. The spiritual successor to his 8-Bit Jesus Christmas album, 8-Bit Doctor Horrible re-imagines Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog as a classic NES game.

At 16 tracks strong, the project hits all the musical high points of the Joss Whedon source material including "Bad Horse Chorus," "A Man's Gotta Do" and "Brand New Day." Moreover, Doc has taken the idea to the next level by creating a simply astounding 8-bit videogame mock-up as an accompany piece.

Peep the video interpretation of 8-Bit Dr. Horrible (Act 1) below, and then proceed immediately to Doctor Octoroc's site to download the album itself. And bring extra Wonderflonium.
