The Weekend in Pictures

Photographic evidence (and a series of drunken texts from my boy Matt) leads me to believe that this year's Nerdapalooza was every bit the phenomenal success of last year's amazing showing. From the stellar lineup to the ridiculously awesome swag, it really looks to have been an event for the ages. Which makes it all-the-more painful for those of us who missed it.

Faithful reader Data Vortex was nice enough to share some early shots of the A Comic Shop pre-show, which you can peruse here. Likewise, BrandonCylon offers a dizzying array of shots from the show-proper. And, of course, my friend Denika was there getting her photog on as well, the outlandish culmination of which is pictured in-post. I don't think I'm overstepping my bounds to say that this one adequately sums up the event in a proverbial nutshell.

More images and video footage will no doubt seep through the Interwebs over the next few days as participants return home and/or sober up. But in the meantime, please join me in wishing all our cross-country travelers a safe and expedient journey.

I think I'm just going to put these pictures up on my facebook instead of mine. The ones I took came out looking like crap.

Forgot to say, the show was indeed truly epic. As much as I loved last year's show, this one was that much better. I'm super excited that I got to see Beefy live. I Fight Dragons were amazing, having the whole band dancing on a NES Powerpad at one point was awesome.

I think Schaffer The Darklord deserves a MVP award, a Purple Heart, or something. It seemed he was on stage every other set performing with someone.

Holy awesome, what a photo.

If that isn't enough to encourage me to go to Nerdapalooza next year I honestly do not know what is.

My album now contains all my photos - pre-production. I am going to be going through and fixing stuff like redeye, adding name tags, captions, and labels over the next few days, but there are over 2 gigs of photos so it will take a tick.

Denika, plans for Z's kidnapping last year are already in motion.

DV and Funk, thanks again to both of you for helping me out. The pictures should definitely help some of the recollection.

Now, I just need to get a review together.

We Love You, Z!

DV, thanks for that second video. I was going to try to call Z during that, but fucked it up. So glad it got up on YouTube so quick.

Here is the playlist where I am adding my videos as I get through them. I appear to have 40-50 keepers.

I did, Denika. And thanks! :)

I wouldn't be so quick to admit that, funk? ;)

There was just too much awesome for your camera to process, Justin! And I've ehard from lots of people that STD managed to garner the most stage time of any performer anywhere ever.

Hope to see you there, Dan.

Lemme know when that review's ready, Matt.

And thanks so much for all the pics/footage, Vortex!

I'm sure I would've, ks, and I hate that I missed meeting you!

Lemme know how that video comes together, nYg.

Z - I posted this to you on Twitter, but I thought it appropriate to post here too. This is a special message from Beefy, filmed at Nerdapalooza. The choice in background music was mine ;)
