With a performance on-tap for the South by Southwest festival and a headlining slot secured at PAX East, MC Frontalot is ably positioned to continue to front the most. To that end, his new album Zero Day is set to drop in 8 short weeks. Meaning that shit is positively imminent!Thankfully, Front has partnered with 18-year-old Z's favorite music magazine, SPIN, to give us all a taste of the tunes yet to come. "Your Friend Wil," the album's de facto debut single, is a nerdcore theme song to geek hero Wil Fucking Wheaton, and (coincidentally?) also features one of 18-year-old Z's favorite vocalists, Mike Doughty* of Soul Coughing fame, on the hook.
SPIN also spills some juiciness Re: Zero Day's other guests, specifically highlighting the role of John "I'm a PC" Hodgeman. So head over there, read the article, snag the free MP3 and wile away your arctic isolation with some new nerdiness.

I like to think that you linking to Wil Wheaton's blog gives him a certain number of extra hits, exactly distributed, and maybe one or two extra give-away comments that makes him look up and smile in the knowledge that Z has mentioned him...
I can't imagine a world where Wil would be glad I mentioned him instead of t'other way 'round, Jimi. ;)
Yeah... That comment started out as a joke in my head about how some sites linking to other sites can crash the latter sites, and about the effect of your link on his hits (relatively small, because he gets so many readers - also the fact that many who read your link will be aware of his blog already). The joke morphed into a daydream, which evolved into a comment.
And what a dream it is!
More importantly BT's Never Gonna Come Back Down where he spits fresh insanity about how hot DJ Rap is.
I listened to the various mixes of that over and over and over and over and over and over some more.
